Will Turmeric help with asthma?

There are have been many studies since the late 1990s that seem to show how Turmeric helps dilate blood vessels allowing for better air flow. It relaxes muscle spasms and helps restoring normal breathing patterns by relieving the asthmatic inflammation that causes swelling in the lungs and trouble breathing.

Researchers have also found that turmeric can block the release of compounds that cause the asthma specific inflammation.

How exactly it works is not clear, but it seems that all researches came to the conclusion that asthma is a product of inflammation, so when the inflammation is tackled, so is asthma.
